Qualified Supervision Services
for Mental Health Counseling Interns
in Florida
Rose A. Wright, MA, LMHC, QS
My mental health counseling career began at the University of Central Florida where I graduated with my Masters in Counselor Education (Mental Health Counseling) and a Certificate in Play Therapy. Since earning my degree, I have received specialized training in EFT Tapping, and other techniques and modalities.
My professional experience spans various settings, including treatment centers, community health agencies, schools, and other environments. For the past 10 years, I have been dedicated to offering services to children, teens, and adults through my practice, Pursuit of Happiness Counseling and Wellness.
My supervision approach is rooted in a combination of person-centered, gestalt, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) theories. With this integrative and supportive approach, I tailor my supervision to meet the individual needs of each intern, considering their unique strengths, challenges, and professional goals. My aim is to provide a balanced mix of support and challenge, encouraging interns to reflect on their practice, build on their strengths, and address areas for growth.
Understanding the impact of “new counselor anxiety,” I provide a safe space for interns to express their concerns and insecurities. I offer constructive feedback and practical guidance to help them navigate the complexities of client care. By focusing on the intern’s thoughts and feelings about their work, I facilitate a deeper understanding of both themselves and their clients.
It will be an honor to support you in your professional journey!
